A Charming 17th Century Swedish Summer House Emphasizing "The More, the Better"
Nestled in the heart of rural England, a charming 17th-century farmhouse has been transformed into a summer cottage paradise. Known as Historiska Hem, this pet-friendly guest house offers a unique blend of Scandinavian summer cottage style and vintage finds, creating an enchanting retreat for visitors.
The renovation of this historical property was completed in 2021 by the Zuchristian family, who purchased the farmhouse in 2017. Prior owners include Karl Amplatz, who sold it in 2017, and a series of owners dating back to the early 1700s.
Photography for Historiska Hem was skillfully captured by Lina Östling, while styling was expertly handled by Stories by Chaundy. The result is a harmonious blend of traditional charm and modern elegance.
Historiska Hem boasts six spacious bedrooms, each with a unique design, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. The shared lounge area, warmed by a cosy fireplace, provides a perfect spot to unwind and socialise.
The fully equipped kitchen invites guests to prepare their own meals, while the private garden, complete with a hot tub, offers the perfect setting for al fresco dining. Guests can also enjoy the outdoors with their pets, as Historiska Hem is pet-friendly.
Historiska Hem, a rural retreat in every sense, is featured on Historiska Hem, offering a glimpse into its charming ambiance. Whether you're seeking a peaceful getaway or a base to explore the English countryside, Historiska Hem promises a memorable stay.
