A31 traffic collision results in 10 individuals sustaining injuries
In a significant incident on Sunday evening, a traffic accident involving two cars occurred on the A31 in the direction of Bottrop, as reported by the Fire Department Bottrop. The incident took place at around 18:20.
The accident resulted in ten individuals being injured, one of them seriously. Initial reports suggested that someone might have been trapped, but fortunately, no one was.
Upon the incident, the Fire Department Bottrop called for the "mass casualty incident" protocol, and rescue resources from Oberhausen, Dorsten, and Gladbeck were requested to assist. The Bottrop forces worked diligently to provide initial treatment to the injured individuals before transporting them to various nearby hospitals.
The operation ended for the fire department around 20:00, and the police then took over the site for accident investigation.
