19-Year-Old Troisdorf Driver Involved in Traffic Accident

On Tuesday evening, August 26, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Frankfurt Street, Alfred-Delp Street, and Zum Altenforst in Troisdorf. According to the Rhein-Sieg District Police Headquarters, a 19-year-old driver from Troisdorf was involved in the accident.

The 19-year-old was driving a BMW when he collided with a car driven by an 18-year-old resident from Bonn. The Bonn resident was waiting with his Daihatsu on Alfred-Delp Street, intending to turn left onto Frankfurt Street, when the light turned green and the collision occurred.

The 19-year-old driver sustained minor injuries in the accident. He was treated at the scene before refusing further hospital examination. The Bonn resident was unharmed, but his Daihatsu was deemed unfit for the road and was towed away.

The traffic investigations unit has assumed control of the investigation into the accident's cause, and the head of the investigation is not publicly disclosed. The 19-year-old driver from Troisdorf drove through the intersection with a yellow traffic light, according to his statement. The accident occurred on Frankfurt Street, driving from Siegburg towards Troisdorf city center. The 19-year-old driver in the BMW also drove through the intersection, colliding with the Bonn resident's Daihatsu.
