Accident on A9 Leaves Multiple People Injured; Witnesses Sought for Investigation in France

On Friday, August 29, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the A9 near Schwanstetten, district of Roth. The incident involved a tractor-trailer, a motorhome, and two other vehicles.

According to the Mittelfranken Police Headquarters, the motorhome had a tire puncture before it moved onto the hard shoulder. Unfortunately, the driver (46 years old), his passenger (35 years old), and a six-year-old child sustained severe injuries. Two other occupants of the motorhome (aged 8 and 14) and the 50-year-old truck driver were lightly injured. The occupants of the BMW vehicles remained unharmed.

Subsequently, a BMW with a caravan and another BMW collided with the crashed truck. The accident resulted in several ambulance vehicles transporting the injured to nearby hospitals.

The Mittelfranken Police Headquarters, based in Nuremberg, is the authority responsible for the investigation of the accident. They are appealing for witnesses who observed the accident to contact them at 09128 91970 during office hours or +49 (0)911 2112 1553 outside office hours.
