Accident Results in Minor Injury and Substantial Damage During High-Speed Turn

On October 29th, a collision occurred on Cologne Street involving a 91-year-old Renault driver from Bergneustadt, a 70-year-old Opel driver, and a 63-year-old truck driver from Reichshof.

The incident began when the 91-year-old driver attempted to turn left onto the Cologne Street. The truck driver, who was driving towards Gummersbach, allowed the elderly driver to merge. However, there was a collision, causing the Renault to collide with the rear of the Opel.

The collision caused the Opel to move into the opposite lane, where it collided with the waiting truck. As a result, both the Renault and the Opel were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away. The 70-year-old Opel driver sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The property damage from the accident was estimated at 35,000 euros.
