The highly anticipated third season of the critically acclaimed sci-fi drama "Invasion" is now underway, and Canadian actor Shamier Anderson returns as the US Navy SEAL, Trevante Cole. After a two-year absence, Trevante is back, but his world has changed dramatically.

Trevante Cole, the sole survivor of an alien invasion, finds a world that has mourned him and faces government paranoia. His character has evolved from an adventurous soldier to someone isolated and psychologically affected by his experiences.

"Invasion" airs on Apple TV+ and offers a unique blend of sensational special effects from VFX Supervisor Erik Henry and a pervasive spirituality in its narrative. The show stands out from other alien invasion shows and movies due to its focus on human connection and stories.

In Season 3, Trevante will converge with other pivotal players around the world to cross over through a Dead Zone encircling the derelict mothership to enter its mysterious labyrinth. Anderson has experienced mental and physical absorption of the "Invasion" process over the years, and his character's journey continues to evolve.

Shamier Anderson shows up in a different way in Season 3, with a place of gratitude and a sense of responsibility. Trevante is more like him in terms of emotional evolution, but less so in terms of actions like fighting and chasing aliens. Anderson has learned to release and let go, allowing the work to speak for itself in Season 3.

Anderson has had five years of immersion in the show, and he is excited for people to see Trevante Cole in a new state that they haven't ever seen before. Trevante infiltrated the alien hivemind portal and brought a colossal mothership crashing down to Earth in Season 2. The experiences on "Invasion" and the characters have aged beautifully, like fine wine, according to Anderson.

The pacing of the initial two seasons of "Invasion" is more moderate, but the momentum ramps up in the third season. Trevante was ambushed by alien invaders in the Afghanistan desert in Season 1. Anderson jokes about having more grey hand from the years of work.

Don't miss out on the thrilling third season of "Invasion" on Apple TV+, with new episodes streaming each Friday. Catch up on the first two seasons to fully immerse yourself in the world of Trevante Cole and the alien invasion.
