Breaking News: Severe Traffic Accident in Elsdorf

A single-vehicle incident on August 19, 2023, in Elsdorf, resulted in a 19-year-old driver sustaining severe injuries. The accident occurred on Gladbacher Straße, near the Jahnstraße junction.

According to initial investigations, the vehicle involved was an Audi S5. The driver lost control of the vehicle in a curve for unknown reasons, colliding with a house wall and coming to a halt in the middle of the road.

The injured driver was transported to a hospital by rescue helicopter, while two other vehicle occupants, both 22, were unharmed in the accident.

Residents who heard the accident provided first aid before the arrival of rescue services.

The police are investigating the suspicion of endangering road traffic, driving without a valid driver's license, and an unauthorized motor race. The traffic accident investigation team from Düsseldorf assisted local police in the investigation.
