In the heart of Bavaria, the city of Landshut has created a new position to provide much-needed support to families of children with disabilities. Janine Brabender, the municipality's process mentor, is now available to guide families through the complexities of the application process for early support, aids, and various forms of assistance.

Janine Brabender offers a point of contact that takes the daily challenges of families seriously and listens to them. Her consultations are free, confidential, and accessible, with options for in-person meetings at the town hall, various facilities, home visits, online, or by phone.

With extensive experience in children and youth welfare, Janine Brabender has spent several years working in stationary integration assistance. Today, she supports around ten families with diverse needs, ranging from brief telephone consultations to extensive home visits.

The offer of services provided by Janine Brabender can be found at www.our website/verfahrenslotsin. She can be contacted by phone at 0871/882316 or by email at janine.brabender@our website.

It's important to note that a diagnosed disability is not a prerequisite to contact Janine Brabender. Her services are available to young people up to the age of 27, as well as their parents or legal guardians.

The Children and Youth Strengthening Act (KJSG), effective since June 2021, legally reinforces an inclusive approach in children and youth welfare. Janine Brabender's role as a process mentor is a testament to Landshut's commitment to this inclusive approach.

In addition to explaining procedural processes, helping with applications, and acting as a trusted intermediary if necessary, Janine Brabender also assists with various options and services, including applications for benefits in the field of integration assistance.

Daniela Weißenberger, the procedural coordinator (Verfahrenslotsin) of the Youth Welfare Office in Landshut since May 2022, works alongside Janine Brabender to ensure that families receive the best possible support.

Janine Brabender is available for consultations Monday to Wednesday from 8 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm, and Thursday and Friday from 8 am to 12 pm. For more information or to schedule a consultation, please visit www.our website/verfahrenslotsin or contact Janine Brabender directly.
