Advertising agency Rocket & Wink secures Comdirect as a client and launches inaugural marketing campaign

In an exciting departure from their usual style, the Hamburg-based creative and design agency Rocket & Wink have taken on the planning and implementation of the current Comdirect advertising campaign. This new venture, a collaboration with the agency Fraser, marks a shift from Rocket & Wink's typically bold and experimental approach to a more subdued style, in line with the Comdirect brand's colourful yet conscious ethos.

The Comdirect campaign, first published in the magazine "Campaign Germany", consists of four advertising spots that showcase people using Comdirect products in their daily lives. Each spot undergoes a unique transformation, as it transitions into one of the four brand colours: turquoise, pink, purple, or yellow upon application. These colour changes are not the result of AI technology, but rather, are handmade, reflecting the conscious handmade approach that fits well with the style of the two agency founders who always appear in masks.

The medium of the advertising spot is new for Rocket & Wink, with the spots set to be played on digital platforms. This is supplemented by various advertising materials, including digital CLPs, billboards, stickers, giveaways, and live communication. The production of these spots was overseen by director Christian Schilling, with the production company being Cobblestone.

The Comdirect brand, a subsidiary of Commerzbank, is known for its colourful and experimental approach. This campaign aims to help bank customers make financial decisions independently, flexibly, and individually, with a targeted strategy developed by the partners.

"Campaign Germany", a part of the Oberauer publishing group like X, typically covers advertising-related topics. The unique handmade approach of the Comdirect campaign has been well-received, demonstrating the agency's ability to adapt and innovate while staying true to their core values.
