Advises on funding for a 40 MW wind farm construction, guided by OX2, to PKO Bank Polski.
The Annopol I wind farm project, located in the Goscięradow municipality, Lubelskie Voivodship, Poland, has taken a significant step forward with a EUR 90 million financing agreement from PKO Bank Polski. This project, a part of OX2's commitment to building a more sustainable society, represents an important step in increasing the share of renewable energy in Poland's energy mix.
OX2, an international independent power producer, has been accelerating the energy transition since 2004. The company focuses on onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage projects, offering end-to-end solutions from planning and construction to sale and operation.
The Annopol I wind farm project, with a total capacity of 40 MW, is financed by various facilities and involves a complex, multi-jurisdictional structure. The successful completion of this project demonstrates the effectiveness of close cooperation between the bank, sponsors, and legal advisors in making ambitious renewable energy investments a reality.
The legal aspects of the project were advised by several law firms. Global law firm X, for instance, provided advice for the financing project. A multidisciplinary team from the firm worked on the project under the supervision of energy and project finance partner Tomasz Rogalski. The legal due diligence workstream was led by counsel Cezary Zawisłak and included associates Martyna Orłowska, Nina Strzelczyk, and Mikołaj Rydzewski. Partner Arturo Sferruzza, senior associate Igor Kondratowicz-Laderski, and lawyer Regan Eastwood from the Milan office of law firm X advised on English law aspects of the project.
From Kromann Reumert, partner Kumaran Thavarajah and associate Markus Ulrik Leding provided Danish law advice for the project. Counsel Krzysztof Gorzelak and lawyer Antoni Krzyżanowski advised on the hedging aspects of the project.
