Las Vegas Hotel Room Prices for July 4 Holiday Weekend See a Drop

In a surprising turn of events, the demand for hotel rooms in Las Vegas during the Independence Day weekend in 2025 has weakened, largely due to the holiday falling on a Friday and shifts in travel patterns.

For budget-conscious travelers, options off the Strip or downtown offer affordable accommodations. Silver Sevens offers rooms at $42 a night, while Golden Gate and Arizona Charlie's Decatur can be found for $46 and $62 respectively. Strip options under $100 a night include Circus Circus at $34, Luxor at $76, Excalibur at $74, and Harrah's at $82.

Middle-ground options for the holiday weekend include Treasure Island at $113, Flamingo at $114, Planet Hollywood at $126, Virgin at $100, New York-New York at $155, The Linq at $103, The Cromwell at $127, and Palms at $141.

Hotel rates for the Independence Day weekend are relatively cheap, with a standard Julius room at Caesars Palace costing $232 a night (inclusive of resort fees and taxes). The Venetian is slightly more expensive at $290 a night. Additional luxury-minded travel options include the Bellagio at $335 a night, Waldorf Astoria under $300, Aria at $302, The Cosmopolitan at $339, Wynn/Encore at $345, and Fontainebleau at $265.

Despite the weaker demand, visitor spending is projected to increase by 3.7% to almost $450 million, primarily due to higher costs for goods and services, not a willingness among travelers to spend more. Approximately 340,000 people are estimated to travel to Southern Nevada for the July 4 holiday weekend, a decrease of around 4,000 people from last year’s numbers.

The Strip's primary fireworks show will begin around 9 pm local time from Caesars Palace. Caesars Palace hosts the Strip's annual July 4 fireworks spectacular, and the best viewing spots for the show include in front of the Bellagio Fountains, the Roman Steps, and Linq Promenade.

Notable entertainers performing during the July 4 weekend include Kelly Clarkson, New Kids on the Block, and Chelsea Handler. Gaming analysts suggest that "summer softness" is well understood.
