News Article: Unidentified Man Sought in Freiburg Burglary Case
An 84-year-old woman in Freiburg was the victim of a burglary on Friday, June 20, 2025. According to a statement from the Police Headquarters Freiburg, the incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. at a house on Alemannenstraße.
The woman noticed a man hiding behind her slightly open kitchen door. The unknown man, described as being between 18 and 20 years old, approximately 1.60 to 1.70 meters tall, with a slim build, dark, curly short hair, and a well-groomed appearance, was wearing a black T-shirt and black pants. He spoke standard German and, upon being asked, claimed to be visiting someone else and requested a glass of water.
The man left the house via the adjacent Schwarzen Weg after being given a bottle of water. However, the manner in which the unknown man entered the woman's apartment and the duration of his stay remain unknown.
Later, the woman discovered that cash and gold jewelry were missing from her apartment. Witnesses who may have made suspicious observations are asked to provide information about the unknown man.
