In the political landscape of Austria, tensions are running high as Lower Austria's deputy governor, Udo Landbauer, has accused the current coalition of ÖVP, SPÖ, and Neos of being an anti-FPO alliance. Landbauer, who serves as the deputy governor (Stellvertreter des Landeshauptmanns) of the Austrian region of Lower Austria (Niederösterreich), has been a vocal critic of the government's policies.

Landbauer has expressed a clear commitment to the FPO's party leader, Herbert Kickl, and has not indicated any plans for Kickl to switch to federal politics. However, he has demanded a radical course correction at the federal level, particularly in areas such as asylum, inflation, and the labor market.

The FPO, for its part, is aiming to be number one in Lower Austria at the next provincial election, scheduled for early 2028. The party's politician responsible for transport in Lower Austria has criticised the ÖBB for being in a quality crisis and has called for improvements in punctuality, quality, and reliable connections.

Meanwhile, the FPO wants to set up a "compact Pilnacek-U committee" to address these issues. Landbauer has identified shortcomings in the coalition's policies, particularly in the areas of asylum, inflation, and the labor market, and has suggested spending cuts, an evaluation of NGO subsidies, a reduction in the tax burden, and reasonable energy policy to make the economy and entrepreneurship attractive again.

The government's policies have been criticised for negatively affecting the economic location, labor market, and people in the country. Landbauer has also criticised Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) for failing miserably in asylum policy, leading to dramatic consequences in the labor market, as well as in security, health, and education.

In addition, a Corona Evaluation Commission will be established to review measures taken during the pandemic. The FPO politician responsible for transport in Lower Austria has praised Kickl as a nice and decent man, while the FPO-NO Klubobmann Teufel has also expressed support for Kickl.

The other parties are suggested to reconsider and undergo an ideological and personnel change, according to Landbauer. As the political landscape in Austria continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how these developments will unfold in the coming months and years.
