New Funding Round for Artists and Cultural Organizations in Lower Bavaria Now Open

The Culture Fund Bavaria has announced that the application process for the new funding round 2024 is now open for artists and cultural organizations in Lower Bavaria. This round of funding aims to support a variety of projects, with a focus on promoting cultural exchange and societal participation.

The contact person for the application process in Lower Bavaria is Andrea Sedlmayr from the department 12, Municipal Affairs. Ms. Sedlmayr can be reached at telephone 0871-8081244 for any queries or support regarding the application process.

One of the projects that will receive funding is a special exhibition titled "Landshut in National Socialism," which will be shown from autumn in the KOENIGmuseum and from November in the LANDSHUTmuseum. The City Museums in Lower Bavaria have been awarded 46,000 euros for this project.

Lower Bavaria will benefit from over one million euros, with a total of 16 individual projects being funded. The exact amount of funding for Lower Bavaria from the Culture Fund Bavaria is not detailed, but a comprehensive list of all funded measures in Bavaria can be found on the website of the Science and Art Ministry at www.stmwk.bayern.de.

Government President Rainer Haselbeck has encouraged all cultural project carriers to apply for the new funding round 2024 in Lower Bavaria by October 1, 2023. Interested parties can find information about the new funding round and the application process on the government's website of Lower Bavaria at www.regierung.niederbavien.bayern.de/kulturfonds.

The project ties in with recent research findings and aims for broad-based societal participation. The topic of the exhibition will focus on Fritz Koenig, who participated in World War II and gained international attention with his commemorative paintings for the victims of the National Socialist dictatorship.

The Culture Fund Bavaria has provided over 5.7 million euros to 114 art and culture projects across Bavaria. This new funding round is an opportunity for artists and cultural organizations in Lower Bavaria to secure funding for their projects and contribute to the rich cultural landscape of the region.
