Air Products' Q3 financial performance surpasses projected figures

Air Products, a leading industrial gas company, has announced its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2025. The company's sales for the quarter increased by 1% year-on-year, reaching $3 billion. However, the adjusted EPS for the quarter fell 3% year-on-year to $3.09.

The company's results were affected by weaker global helium demand and the impact of previously announced project exits. The sale of Air Products' LNG business to Honeywell, which occurred in September of the third quarter, also had an impact.

Despite these challenges, Air Products' third quarter results exceeded guidance and were higher than the previous year on a comparable basis, excluding the impact of the LNG sale. The adjusted operating income for the quarter remained flat at $741 million.

Following project cancellations in the second quarter, Air Products returned to basics, focusing on its core business. Eduardo Menezes, CEO of Air Products, described the third quarter results as solid.

It is worth noting that there is no information indicating that Air Products was acquired by any company in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025.
