Airline Carrier WestJet Purchasing New Boeing Aircraft; Includes Models Like the 737-10 Max and 787-9 Dreamliners

According to a report first published by The Canadian Press on Sept. 3, 2025, WestJet has agreed to purchase 60 Boeing 737-10 MAX narrowbody aircraft, with options for an additional 25. The deal also includes seven Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner widebody aircraft, with options for four more. The specific type of aircraft being purchased, however, remains undisclosed in the report.
This purchase will undoubtedly increase the size of WestJet's fleet, which currently consists of 193 passenger aircraft, with an average age of approximately 10 years. The deal expands WestJet's aircraft order book to 123 units, including the options.
