Airline Sky Express establishes a flight route between Hamburg and Athens
Hamburg Airport is set to welcome a new airline, Sky Express, which will offer nonstop flights from Hamburg to Athens starting October 24, 2025. The new airline will serve the route three times a week: on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The addition of Sky Express to Hamburg Airport's summer 2025 schedule expands the airport's network to approximately 120 direct destinations in about 40 countries, served by 55 airlines. The flight duration for the Hamburg to Athens route is approximately three hours, and the route will be operated using an Airbus A320 neo.
Gesa Zaremba, Head of Airline & Traffic Development at Hamburg Airport, has welcomed the arrival of Sky Express. No new information about Gesa Zaremba is presented.
In addition to Athens, Greece, Albania, and Armenia will be served more frequently in Hamburg Airport's summer 2025 schedule. However, Sky Express is not mentioned as operating any routes from Hamburg Airport beyond the nonstop service to Athens.
Mallorca and Antalya remain the most popular summer destinations, with around 70 weekly flights to the Balearic Island and about 40 to the Turkish Riviera.
