The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has announced a significant change in terminal fees at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), effective from September 14, 2025.

This decision comes as part of a broader transformation plan to elevate NAIA into a world-class facility. The airport's passenger capacity is set to increase from the current 43 million to 62 million over time, and air traffic movements will rise from 42 to 48 hours.

The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), a consortium that includes the San Miguel Corporation and the Incheon International Airport Corporation from South Korea, will officially take over and operate NAIA from September 14, 2024. This transition marked the beginning of a new era for the airport, with the San Miguel Corporation and the Incheon International Airport Corporation officially taking over the responsibility for its operation and management on August 18, 2022.

The terminal fee for international travel has increased from PHP 550 to PHP 950, and the fee for domestic travel has risen from PHP 200 to PHP 390. However, exemptions from terminal fees have been made for several groups, including passengers who are disabled, flight crews, overseas Filipino workers, pilgrims, Philippine Sports Commission delegates, Medal of Valor awardees, and others specified in the announcement or by the Office of the President.

The Passenger Service Charge (terminal fee) at NAIA has increased, and these funds will be used to improve airport operations and services for passengers. Additionally, as of October 2024, the NNIC has announced an increase in parking fees for terminals at the airport.

This change is part of a larger plan to modernise and enhance the services at NAIA, aiming to provide a more efficient and comfortable experience for all travellers.
