Alan Pham Wins WPT Australia Championship 2025

The World Poker Tour (WPT) returned to Australia for the WPT Australia festival, culminating in the prestigious WPT Australia Championship. The event, held from Sept. 18 to Oct. 1, 2025, drew a massive field of 600 entries, creating a prize pool of $1,961,000 USD. The festival also included other exciting events like the $20,000 AUD Super High Roller and the $1,500 AUD buy-in Australian Poker Cup.

The WPT Australia Championship has a rich history, with past winners including James Obst, who took home $398,512 in 2024. This year, the festival reached its climax with the $5,500 AUD buy-in Championship event. The final table featured six Australian players: Alan Pham, Jordan Bautista, Jarrod Thatcher, Luo Ming Liu, Corey Kempson, and Jiaxu Chen.

Alan Pham emerged victorious, winning $364,958 USD and etching his name on the Mike Sexton Champion's Cup. This victory pushed Pham's Hendon Mob earnings above $1 million and marked his first WPT Main Event title. Pham entered the final table second in chips and won after 145 hands, improving on his previous best cash of $84,606. Jordan Bautista finished as the runner-up, taking home $243,013 USD.

The WPT Australia Championship concluded with Alan Pham's triumph, further cementing the event's place in poker history. The festival's rich variety of events and substantial prize pools continue to attract top players from around the world.
