On August 29, 2025, a traffic stop was conducted on a Mercedes with Polish license plates in Gera, Germany. The vehicle was halted on De-Smit Street.

During the traffic stop, the 19-year-old driver was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.56%, exceeding the legal limit. The driver could not produce a valid driver's license, leading to suspicions of driving without a license.

The passenger in the vehicle, a 23-year-old Polish national, was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. However, the passenger was unaware that the possession of small amounts of cannabis has been legalized in Germany since April 2024.

Both the driver and the passenger were released from the scene. The passenger, who had initially fled on foot, was later apprehended and returned to the scene.
