In a shocking turn of events, a 20-year-old woman named Mercy Ikiru was brutally murdered in Soweto village, Lodwar. The primary crime scene has been identified as a house with bloodstains in Soweto village, but the location of the actual murder remains unspecified in the provided information.

The gruesome murder has left the community in a state of shock, with the villager at the scene expressing raw grief and demand for justice. The body of Mercy Ikiru was discovered on Saturday morning outside a truck parking yard, three kilometers from the Lodwar Police Station. The scene of the crime showed that missing body parts were taken from the scene, a common occurrence in ritual practices where body organs are harvested for occult purposes. Mercy's body had horrific injuries, including severed ears, peeled skin on her forehead, and deep wounds on her head, suggesting a brutal and violent attack.

The murder is suspected to be a ritualistic killing, and the mob attack occurred on three men alleged to be behind the murder: Timothy Etir, 25, Stephen Ekai, 21, and Ekwal Ekai Abas, 25. The violent mob attack triggered by the murder has left these three suspects in critical condition. They are currently admitted in critical condition at Lodwar County Referral Hospital (LCRH) under heavy police security.

The persons investigated in connection with the alleged ritual murder include members of Mercy's family and close acquaintances. However, the police report does not mention any suspects or arrests related to the murder at this time.

In response to the incident, Turkana County Police Commander John Tarus urged residents to remain calm and not take the law into their own hands. He condemned both the murder and the subsequent mob justice, stating that the law will take its course.

As the investigation continues, the community of Soweto village, Lodwar, is left to grapple with the horrific events that have unfolded, hoping for justice for Mercy Ikiru.
