To free the dog, the fire department had to forcefully open a side window. The affected vehicle's license plates were secured by the police patrol, and the vehicle documents related to the incident were also secured.
The secured vehicle plates and documents were handed over to the responsible authority, and the vehicle had been reported for deregistration to the Lörrach District Office. The dog, thankfully, remained unharmed and was taken to a nearby animal shelter.
