Announcing Major Leap: South African Fintech, Peach Payments, Introduces Instant Settlement Payments
Peach Payments, a fast-growing African payment solution provider, has made significant strides in the industry. Operating in Kenya, Mauritius, and South Africa, the company is expanding its reach and services.
Peach Payments recently launched real-time clearance (RTC) payouts for all merchants on its platform in South Africa. This innovative solution, which promises funds accessible within 90 seconds, is set to revolutionise the payment landscape. The service, which has already cut the settlement and payout process from up to four days to just hours for global payroll provider Cadana Pay, achieving a 75% time saving, is expected to extend to other countries, subject to regulatory requirements.
The RTC Payouts offering from Peach Payments includes automated reconciliation, CSV uploads, float top-ups, and batch payments. Merchants can top up their float using their settlement funds or via EFT. This solution is particularly beneficial for companies that need to rapidly distribute refunds and commissions, pay gig workers with varying payout schedules, manage salary disbursements, bonuses, and expense reimbursements.
Peach Payments is not only focusing on technological advancements but also strategic partnerships. The company recently partnered with South African Bitcoin and crypto payments solution provider, MoneyBadger. Peach Payments also intends to integrate its payouts with various payment methods, including EFT refunds and e-wallet, voucher payouts.
In a bid to enter new markets and reach different customer segments, Peach Payments plans to form partnerships through these integrations. The company recently agreed to acquire West-African payment platform PayDunya, which operates in six Francophone countries.
Peach Payments offers a complete toolkit to accept, manage, and disburse payments through point-of-sale, web, and mobile. The solution is user-friendly, with a UI on the Peach Payments dashboard managing payments for merchants who prefer not to use the API, or want to make a single payment. Merchants with the in-house technical abilities to use the API can integrate and go live within a day or two.

While there are no search results specifying which companies have adopted Peach Payments' real-time clearance payouts to utilise this service in other countries, the potential benefits and efficiency gains are undeniable. Peach Payments is poised to redefine the African payment landscape with its innovative solutions and strategic partnerships.
