Annual Gathering of Collaborators in 2024: Advancements in Religious Undertakings
In the realm of Radio, Media & Missions, the TWR National Partner Conference is set to take place in September, with the theme of "Innovations in Ministry." This event, happening in Europe and the CAMENA (Central Asia, Middle East, North Africa) regions, aims to educate attendees on how to best utilize new innovations to reach the world for Christ by mass media.
One such innovation is GamesTalk, an outreach initiative from TWR Europe. This initiative has resulted in nearly 80 interviews with Christian athletes and reached half a million listeners. In the TWR CAMENA region, new content was created for the Kurdish Kurmanji dialect and animated programs for deaf communities in Central Asia.
The conference also featured discussions on digital ministry. Tyler Church, for instance, spoke about four pillars of digital ministry: content creation, digital channels, audience engagement, and promotion. He compared paid promotions to rocket fuel, emphasising their importance in reaching a wider audience.
Simon Diercks, Head of Communication and Media by Allianz-Mission e.V. in Germany, engaged with digital areas concerning digital community founding and digital mission strategy. He also emphasised the need for wisdom when engaging with AI, filtering information through ourselves and engaging with the Holy Spirit.
In the realm of AI, a Bible chatbot called Nicodemus.AI was developed by ERF Germany. This innovative tool is designed to help individuals engage with the Bible in a more accessible way.
The conference also highlighted the story of Capt. Albert (Berti) Dosti, a powerful testament to the transformative power of the gospel. Dosti's story is part of TWR's Reach the Last series.
Unfortunately, TWR Ukraine is currently left with only a third of their original pre-war financial funds. Cassius Smith, acting president of TWR, gave warm greetings from Lauren Libby, TWR's president and CEO, expressing support during these challenging times.
Evangelical Focus, a platform associated with Jade Alger and Becky Matthews, also shared their sustainability challenge ahead. They are seeking support for their mission through the #OneMoreYearEF campaign.
As TWR continues to innovate and reach out to various communities, their mission remains steadfast: to reach the world for Christ by mass media so that lasting fruit is produced.
