Annual regional contest, titled "IQ Prize of the Year" commenced
The Innovator Contest, an annual event aimed at supporting youth innovative projects, has begun in Krasnodar Krai. This year marks the 17th edition of the competition, which was first announced by Governor Veniamin Kondratyev in 2009.
The contest is open to students, scientists, inventors, specialists, and entrepreneurs aged 14 to 35. Over the years, more than five thousand participants have taken part in the contest, with a record number of applications registered last year - 408.
Participants can propose innovative developments in various fields such as robotics, IT, agro-industrial complex, healthcare and biomedicine, ecology, transport, and housing and communal services. The winners will be decided based on their presentations at a public defense, and their projects will be eligible for prizes ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 rubles for implementation.
This year, the first place winner will receive 300,000 rubles, second place will receive 200,000 rubles, and third place will receive 100,000 rubles. Additionally, diplomas will also be awarded to the winners.
Governor Kondratyev believes that the future belongs to young people and that the Innovator Contest is an excellent platform to encourage and support their innovative ideas. Applications for the 2025 contest will be accepted until October 14, with the review and evaluation process being conducted online.
Lastly, it's worth noting that the search results do not provide information about the leader of the jury panel evaluating the finalist projects of the Innovator competitions in Krasnodar Krai in 2025.
Applications for the annual regional "IQ of the Year" Award are also being accepted alongside the Innovator Contest. The Innovator Contest has proven to be a significant event in the region, fostering innovation and creativity among young people, and this year is no exception.
