Anuj Dua Resumes Position as Head of Global Product Planning at Hero MotoCorp
Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has appointed Anuj Dua as the Head-Global Product Planning. Dua's role will be pivotal in streamlining and strengthening the brand's reputation as a premium brand in Europe, as the company plans to enter new markets in Europe as a premium brand.
Dua, who previously worked as an assistant retail manager at Bajaj Auto, has a rich history with Hero MotoCorp. He spent approximately a decade with the company, holding roles in global product planning, marketing, and sales. His experience will be instrumental in implementing Hero MotoCorp's ambitions in new markets.
One of the key products that Dua will be focusing on is the XPulse 421, the most anticipated middle-capacity bike from Hero MotoCorp. The XPulse 421, a larger bike compared to other models, boasts a touring-oriented design with a semi-fairing and sharp, angular designs. The bike was first revealed in a 2D sketch last year, and its specifications and other details can be found here.
In addition to the XPulse 421, Hero MotoCorp has developed several other successful models, such as the Xtreme 250R and the Vida Z. The company is also planning to expand its portfolio, particularly in the electric segment. They aim to establish themselves as a premium brand in Asia, Africa, and Latin America through their expanding portfolio, including new electric models such as the Vida VX2 with innovative Battery as a Service (BaaS) offerings.
Hero MotoCorp announced its intentions for the European and UK markets last year in Milan at EICMA. While no official announcement has been made, there are rumours of a new variant of the discontinued Hero Mavrick 440 launching in Europe. If this is the case, it would mark a significant step for Hero MotoCorp in the European market.
Before joining Hero MotoCorp, Dua played a significant role in the company's venture into the American market with the 650 cc twin bikes. His expertise and understanding of the global market will undoubtedly be a valuable asset as Hero MotoCorp continues to expand its presence in Europe and beyond.
