Appointment of Four New Police Chief Officers in Solingen
New Police Officers Join Forces in Bergisches Städtedreieck
Last Monday, a significant boost was given to the police forces in Wuppertal, Remscheid, and Solingen as a total of 123 new personnel officially joined their ranks. The ceremony, held at the Wuppertal police headquarters, was attended by Wuppertal's Mayor Uwe Schneidewind, who spoke on behalf of the mayors of the Bergisches Städtedreieck.
The new officers, who have successfully completed their training, include 34 experienced personnel transferring from other district police headquarters to Wuppertal, 48 new recruits for Wuppertal, and 15 for Remscheid. In Solingen, four additional commissioners have been on duty since September 1st.
The additional personnel are expected to ease police work in the region, with the departments of Crime and Traffic in Wuppertal receiving 19 and 3 reinforcements respectively. The police force in Remscheid has also been bolstered by 15 new officers.
Police President Markus Rohrl welcomed his new employees during the ceremony, expressing his confidence that the increase in personnel will better equip the police for the tasks ahead. He also emphasised that the increase is not limited to newly trained recruits.
With the new officers starting their first shift after the training, the police force in Wuppertal and Remscheid, combined, now has a total of 123 new personnel. This addition brings a sense of optimism and readiness to face the challenges that lie ahead in maintaining law and order in the Bergisches Städtedreieck region.
