Appointment of fresh leadership at Gematik confirmed
Gematik, a company central to the German healthcare system, is set to welcome a new management team on September 1st. The new team, consisting of Florian Fuhrmann, Brenya Adjei, and Florian Hartge, will take over from the outgoing leadership led by Stefan Hofrichter.
Founded in 2005 by the leading organizations of the German healthcare system, Gematik's primary focus has always been the electronic health card (eGK). The company's mission is to introduce, maintain, and further develop the eGK and its infrastructure in Germany.
In their new roles, Florian Fuhrmann, as chairman of the management board, will be responsible for strategy and standards, legal and financial affairs. Florian Hartge will lead production, security, and operations, while Brenya Adjei will oversee personnel, IT, and communication.
The roles and responsibilities of the new management team were determined by the Federal Ministry of Health. The shareholders' meeting accepted the personnel proposal of the Federal Ministry of Health on June 12th, paving the way for the new leadership.
The new team's focus will undoubtedly be on driving the introduction, maintenance, and further development of the eGK and its infrastructure in Germany. With their combined expertise, the new management team is poised to steer Gematik towards continued success in the German healthcare system.
