Appointment of Hemant Kundavaram as the new chief financial officer (CFO) by Carl Pei
Hemant Kundavaram, a seasoned finance and accounting professional with over 20 years of experience, has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Nothing India. This appointment marks the second major senior leadership hire for the London-based smartphone company as it accelerates its growth in India.
Kundavaram, a Chartered Accountant from the batch of 2005, completed his B.Com graduation in 2002 from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He began his career with notable stints at Ford India, IBM, Thomson Reuters, and Rockwell Collins, before moving to promoter-led startups in 2015.
Most recently, Kundavaram served as CFO at PMI Electromobility. His expertise includes fundraising, investor relations, IPOs, and capital market operations. This extensive experience will be instrumental as he drives the financial strategy for Nothing India, a company that reported strong performance in Q2 2025 with a significant 146% Year-on-Year (YoY) growth.
Nothing India has recently been named the fastest growing smartphone brand in India for the sixth consecutive quarter, according to the Counterpoint Q2 2025 Smartphone Shipment Tracker. This impressive growth is a testament to the company's innovative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
