Approximately 5,700 young individuals kick off their careers at Deutsche Bahn
Deutsche Bahn to Train Over 5,700 Young Recruits Amid Job Market Challenges
Deutsche Bahn, Germany's national railway company, has announced plans to train approximately 5,700 young people across 50 different professions this year. The training events, scheduled to commence on Monday, will take place at Deutsche Bahn's 33 training centres located nationwide.
The training programs cater to various rail professions, with around 800 young talents set to be trained as train drivers and electronics technicians in operations. Additionally, around 1,000 young people will start training as traffic controllers (train dispatchers). The top dual study programs offered by Deutsche Bahn are in civil engineering (around 100), electrical engineering (around 90), and railway engineering (around 70).
The training will also include 25 dual study programs, a model that combines practical work with theoretical study. Martin Seiler, the Personnel Director at Deutsche Bahn, expressed pride that many young talents have chosen DB as their employer. He emphasised the importance of motivation and commitment for the sustainable success of Deutsche Bahn.
Despite the challenges in the job market, Deutsche Bahn is offering these training opportunities. The company aims to provide the best training conditions and long-term prospects to its young talent. However, no new information was provided about the specific challenges in the job market or the training being offered despite these challenges.
It is worth noting that graduates of dual study programs, including those at companies like Deutsche Bahn, often have good job prospects. The majority are typically retained by their companies after graduation. Unfortunately, there is no publicly available detailed list of the individual graduates of the dual study programs at Deutsche Bahn for 2023.
As the training events officially begin on Monday, Deutsche Bahn reaffirms its commitment to its young talent, offering them a promising future in the rail industry.
