Armed robbery at a discount store in Düsseldorf's Hellerhof area yields fruitful results for authorities
In a recent incident, a robbery took place at Aldi on Carlo-Schmidt-Straße in Hellerhof on Tuesday (17.12.). The police are currently searching for the suspect who, despite demanding money at the cash register, left the store empty-handed and fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as approximately 1.80 meters tall, around 20 to 30 years old, and of robust build. He appeared as a regular customer, wearing a black hoodie with a hood, black pants, and dark sneakers with a white sole and red accents. His hair was likely short and dark.
The robber had his face covered with a medical mouthguard, and he spoke flawless German with a deep voice. He was also carrying a paper bag with red and green print.
The immediate search was unsuccessful, but the investigation is ongoing. The police are using surveillance camera photos in their search for the suspect.
