In a series of recent armed robberies in the Hartenberg-Münchfeld area of Mainz, the police are seeking witnesses and informants to help with their ongoing investigation.
On April 25, 2025, at approximately 3:10 PM, an armed robbery occurred near a green area between a parking lot at the Bruchweg stadium and the street "Am Gonsenheimer Spieß." The perpetrator, described as approximately 20 to 30 years old, maximum 1.75 meters tall, of Arabic appearance, with a short dark beard, dark hair, dark eyes, and an accent, approached an 84-year-old woman. He demanded cash while brandishing a dark pistol, and fled with €20.
The perpetrator was reported to have worn a Gucci cap in some instances and a yellow jacket in the most recent case. He rode an older model blue scooter or motorcycle with signs of wear, no lights, and a possible green license plate.
The investigation is being handled by the Criminal Police, who believe these incidents may be connected to similar robberies that occurred on April 24, 2025, and April 22, 2025, in Mainz. The possible connection of the recent incidents to each other is still under investigation.
The robbery on April 24, 2025, occurred on a pedestrian bridge on Koblenzer Straße, and the one on April 22, 2025, took place in the Im Münchfeld area. No immediate action was required from the patrol cars dispatched on April 26, 2025.
