Arrest Follows Disorderly Conduct and Resistance from the Individual
In the early hours of August 16-17, a disturbance was reported in Herreshagener Straße, Gummersbach. The Circles Police Department of Oberberg District responded to the call and encountered a trio, consisting of a 30-year-old man from Engelskirchen, a 22-year-old man, and a woman from Gummersbach.
According to Police Chief David Clemens, who handled the press inquiries related to the incident, the trio was being noisy and uncooperative when approached by officers. The 30-year-old man resisted arrest, attempting to kick and punch the officers. This resistance resulted in minor injuries to himself and two officers.
The 30-year-old man continued to shout and insult the officers, but the 22-year-old men and the woman complied with the dispersal order issued earlier. The unruly man's actions led to his arrest and placement in a police cell to prevent further offenses.
