Arrest made in the wee hours: A 29-year-old individual is being held by Polish authorities
In a significant development, a 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a break-in and attempted rape incident that occurred in Pfungstädter Straße, Griesheim, early on August 16th.
The suspect was identified through evidence gathered during the immediate investigation. He was located in an apartment in Schaafgasse, and was taken into custody around 10:15 AM. Upon arrival, the suspect threw various objects and knives at the officers, prompting the deployment of special forces due to indications of weapon possession and the suspect's continued display of a knife.
The man is suspected of taking valuable items and attempting to sexually assault the sleeping resident. The resident woke up, causing the man to flee. The suspect was later taken to a nearby hospital for medical examination after the arrest.
The investigation into the incident continues by the Public Prosecutor's Office and Kommissariat 10 from Darmstadt. The man is facing multiple charges in relation to the incident in Griesheim, Hessen, and is also being linked to a previous incident in the same region.
