Arsenal's William Saliba may fail to participate in crucial upcoming games as a result of sustaining an injury.

In the world of football, tensions are running high between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the French Football Federation (FFF) due to a series of medical disagreements.

Firstly, Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus remains a long-term absentee due to a knee injury, while William Saliba, another defender from the Gunners, is expected to miss another 3 to 4 weeks due to an ankle injury. Saliba sustained the injury during a warm-up before Arsenal's 1-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Meanwhile, PSG's Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue are also injured and are expected to miss time for both club and country.

The heart of the controversy lies in the medical coordination between clubs and the national team. PSG has expressed outrage at the situation and has written an open letter to the FFF, calling for a new formalized framework for medical coordination. The club claims that they provided the FFF with concrete medical information on their players' workload and injury risk, but this was not taken into account by the national team's medical staff.

In response, PSG has proposed a new framework that would guarantee systematic, documented, and reciprocal exchanges between the medical staff of the clubs and the national team. The new framework would also reinforce the precautionary principle in the summoning and use of players, particularly when they present a pathology currently being treated.

Paris Saint-Germain's head coach, Luis Enrique, has added to the controversy by suffering a broken collarbone while cycling. His injury has further highlighted the importance of effective medical coordination between clubs and the national team.

Arsenal, for their part, have seven matches scheduled across the Premier League, Champions League, and Carabao Cup in the timeframe Saliba is expected to be out. Christian Norgaard and Ben White are currently injured and in the treatment room for Arsenal.

One of Arsenal's upcoming matches is a home tie against Manchester City on September 21, followed by an away match against Newcastle on September 28. Another match is an away trip to Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League on September 16.

France's October fixtures include matches against Azerbaijan and Iceland on October 9 and October 10. Paris Saint-Germain stands ready to actively contribute to this collective effort for the benefit of the players and professional football as a whole.

As the football season progresses, it will be interesting to see how this controversy unfolds and whether a new formalized framework for medical coordination between clubs and the national team will be established.
