The Hanseatic city of Hamburg experienced a major fire at the end of August, which originated in a warehouse located in the Veddel district, southeast of the city. The fire, which lasted more than 20 hours, was initiated by a burning car and caused further explosions due to the presence of gas pressure containers, including laughing gas cylinders, in the hall for safety reasons.

The investigation into the incident is being conducted by the State Prosecutor's Office in Hamburg. A 44-year-old man is under investigation for the specific charges of negligently causing an explosion and inflicting bodily harm. The charges against him are related to the improper storage of laughing gas.

Sadly, six people were injured during the fire, and the man is also suspected of inflicting bodily harm. The name of the man being investigated has not been disclosed in the available information.

The firefighting operation was challenging due to the repeated explosions, which caused burning debris to be thrown several hundred meters through the air. This led to further fires on open land and neighboring buildings.

The State Prosecutor's Office in Hamburg is currently investigating this case, and the details have been initially reported by the "Hamburger Morgenpost". The investigation is related to the Hamburg Harbor fire, and the public is urged to cooperate with the authorities to ensure a thorough and fair investigation.
