Ashley Young Makes Championship Debut for Ipswich Town

Ashley Young, the experienced footballer, has made his first Championship start of the season for Ipswich Town. The 36-year-old, who signed for the club in July, grabbed an assist in their recent match against Derby.

Young's son, Tyler, also joined Ipswich Town earlier this summer, after a successful trial period. The 19-year-old has been featuring for the under-21 team in friendly matches. Interestingly, if circumstances had been different, Ashley and Tyler could have faced each other on the pitch, as Tyler previously played for Peterborough United.

Ipswich Town's season has started with three draws and a defeat from their first four league matches, currently placing them 20th in the second tier. Manager Darren Ferguson has defended his decisions, stating that he always aims to do what is best for the team.

Meanwhile, Tyler's stay at Peterborough United came to an end at the end of last season. Darren Ferguson, the manager of Peterborough, opted against introducing Tyler during their match against Everton. Following his release, Tyler signed for Stevenage FC, where he now plays for their U23 team.

In a twist of events, one of Everton's players reportedly made a negative comment towards Darren Ferguson during the match, which he found inappropriate.

Tyler made one senior appearance for Peterborough United in the EFL Trophy. He was named on the bench for Ipswich Town's Premier League 2 win over Derby last month. It remains to be seen how his career will progress in the Ipswich Town under-21 side.

In a potential family reunion, Ashley could play alongside his father Ashley this season for Ipswich Town. The elder Young previously played for Manchester United, Aston Villa, and West Ham United, among others, in the Premier League.

As the season unfolds, the Young family's journey in the Championship promises to be an interesting one to follow.
