Asia Cup 2025 match schedules have been revised by the ACC
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the revised schedule for the 15th edition of the men's Asia Cup, set to be played in the T20I format. The tournament, which will feature eight teams, is scheduled to start on September 9, with Afghanistan facing Hong Kong in the opening match.
The first match between UAE and Oman will take place on September 9 at 4:30 PM local time in Abu Dhabi. This adjustment aims to make it more convenient for spectators to follow multiple matches in a single day. The earlier schedule had games starting at 6:00 PM local time.
Group A of the tournament consists of Pakistan, India, UAE, and Oman. India will play against UAE on September 10, while Pakistan will face Oman on September 12. The doubleheader on September 15 will include a match between UAE and Oman, and another between Sri Lanka and Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. Bangladesh will play against Hong Kong on September 11, and Sri Lanka will face Afghanistan on September 12.
The revised timings for the Asia Cup 2025 will begin at 6:30 PM UAE time, corresponding to 7:30 PM Pakistan time. This adjustment aims to ensure smoother conditions for both players and fans. The schedule includes matches on September 16, 17, 18, and 19, leading up to the Super Four Stage, which will begin on September 20.
