The Livestream Where Tragedy Strikes
In the hours leading up to the incident, Finny Da Legend livestreamed from the Bellagio, backed by the striking Las Vegas Strip as "Rock the Casbah" blared through the speakers (YouTube, age-restricted). The moment of peak tension unfolded in seconds.
Just before 11 p.m., SinCity-MannyWise, the gunman, walked up behind Finny and his partner. A heated verbal altercation ensued, but it was cut off by the sound of gunshots. Finny screamed in pain, followed shortly by five more shots. Tanisha Finley attempted to intercede, pleading with the assailant, but her brave effort was too late.
As the gunfire subsided, an audible baby's cry pierced the chaotic scene. By the time paramedics arrived, both victims were deceased.
"Tragically, our officers' medical efforts to save their lives were unsuccessful" said Andrew Walsh, Las Vegas Undersheriff, in a statement.
