At Kaiserslautern's pumpkin show, guests are promised a "flaming" adventure
The garden show in Kaiserslautern is ablaze with excitement this year, as it hosts a traditional pumpkin exhibition. Over the course of a week, an eight-member team has meticulously assembled 40,000 pumpkins into eleven stunning figures, each a real work of art.
The theme of this year's exhibition is "Fire", and the figures certainly live up to the name. Visitors can marvel at a flaming heart, a fire salamander, and Fred Feuerstein and his vehicle, all crafted from the humble pumpkin. A children's figure firefighter named Sam also makes an appearance, adding a touch of whimsy to the fiery display.
Each pumpkin figure is attached to a wooden and wire frame, with a cable tie threaded through for security. The figures are then surrounded by wire to secure the cable tie, ensuring they stand tall and proud. The images of the pumpkin figures, numbered from 1 to 11, are displayed at the garden show for all to see.
The pumpkin exhibition is a traveling show, having been last seen in Brandenburg. It's a spectacle not to be missed, with each new exhibition site seeing the figures reassembled and decorated anew.
The pumpkin season has officially started at the garden show, and the pumpkin exhibition can be viewed until October 31. The garden show's opening hours apply to the pumpkin exhibition, making it easy for visitors to fit a visit into their schedule.
As autumn slowly turns into a season, the pumpkin exhibition provides a warm and inviting addition to the garden show. Whether you're a fan of pumpkins, art, or simply looking for a unique and engaging experience, the pumpkin exhibition in Kaiserslautern is not to be missed.
