At the Australasian Gaming Expo, Xailient presents a privacy-focused AI solution

In the bustling atmosphere of the International Convention Centre Sydney, Xailient, a global leader in privacy-safe artificial intelligence, presented its revolutionary Eye-DTM Facial Recognition Technology (FRT) at the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) 2025.

The Eye-DTM FRT, integrated directly into Electronic Game Machines (EGMs), offers a safer gaming solution for venues such as casinos. The technology is designed to enhance security, protect patron privacy, and streamline operations without compromising on personal data.

One of the key features of the Eye-DTM FRT is its Edge AI processing. This means that facial recognition occurs locally within the cameras, reducing the risks of data transmission and storage. By keeping personal data decentralized and de-identified, the technology ensures privacy and prevents infringement on individual privacy while enabling real-time, secure facial recognition.

Xailient's Eye-DTM FRT also employs a privacy-by-design approach, using purpose-restricted AI that never stores identifiable images. This ensures the protection of both players' privacy and enterprises' liability.

Another innovative feature is Identity Verified Consent, a patented method that ensures bystanders' privacy is protected. The technology only monitors the active player and ignores bystanders, minimising the scope of surveillance.

The Eye-DTM FRT also offers scalable supervision through Xailient's Orchestrait™ system, enabling scalable auditing of AI accuracy and performance across large camera fleets.

In addition to the FRT, Xailient introduced the Mood Engine, a feature that detects signs of distress and prevents harm. The Mood Engine anonymously monitors game patrons for signs of distress, generating alerts for Responsible Gaming Officers in high-risk situations. It protects patron dignity while providing a powerful tool for safer gaming.

The Mood Engine offers real-time, privacy-safe monitoring for harm minimization. It can lock a game if a self-excluded patron attempts play, alert staff for intervention where required, and seamlessly integrate with existing loyalty and compliance programs.

Experts from Xailient and partners were available for consultation at the Xailient booth at AGE 2025, and live demonstrations of the technology were available for attendees to experience first-hand.

The Eye-DTM FRT and Mood Engine represent a significant leap forward in facial recognition technology, offering a safer, faster, and smarter approach to facial recognition in gaming environments. They enable gaming venues to deliver friction-free personalization and improved security while maintaining compliance with privacy regulations and minimizing data exposure.
