In the picturesque setting of the Children's and Youth Tourism and Excursion Station in the Kurganinsky District, an event brought together over 200 participants, including parents, children from foster families, and representatives from guardianship and tutelage bodies. The gathering was organised by the Center for Children's and Youth Tourism and Excursions.

The event, which saw eight teams competing, culminated in the announcement of the results by the press service of the Krasnodar Territory Administration. However, no information was provided about the nature of the competition itself.

The team from the Caucasian district emerged victorious, with the team from the Seversky district securing second place and the team from the Pavlovsky district taking third.

The rally was significant as it highlighted the vital role foster families play in the lives of orphaned children. In the Krasnodar Territory, approximately 12,000 orphaned children reside, according to Alexei Gedz, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Krasnodar Territory. Of these, around 11,800 are being raised in 6,873 foster families, which accounts for 98.8% of the total. This figure aligns with the national average for children being raised in foster families, which stands at 89.7%.

The event's programme was diverse and educational, with activities designed to foster teamwork, creativity, and practical skills. Participants engaged in creative team greetings, a wall newspaper competition, an obstacle course, archery, setting up tents, tying knots, providing first aid, and transporting casualties.

While the event did not provide new data about the number of orphaned children or foster families in the region, it served as a powerful reminder of the importance of support and care for these children. The rally not only celebrated the achievements of the participating teams but also underscored the ongoing efforts to ensure a brighter future for orphaned children in the Krasnodar Territory.
