Austrian Expansion for Procilon Announced
In a strategic move, Procilon Group, a German provider of encryption systems and digital signatures, has announced the acquisition of POS Solutions GmbH. Based in Braunau, Austria, POS Solutions specialises in digital signature solutions and currently employs 16 people.
The acquisition is set to boost Procilon's market position as a provider of secure identity verification in the DACH region. With this move, Procilon's employee count is expected to exceed 100. Both Bernt Vossebein and Markus Mayrhofer, CEOs of POS Solutions, are pleased with the acquisition, expressing excitement about the opportunities for expertise sharing and portfolio expansion.
Procilon Group already has a strong presence, with a branch in Leipzig, Germany, and another in Switzerland. POS Solutions, too, maintains a branch in Switzerland, in Zug. The merged entities are poised to serve a wider customer base, including banks, insurance companies, telecommunications providers, and industrial companies in the DACH region.
POS Solutions currently serves over 150 customers in these sectors with digital onboarding, online identification, and electronic signature solutions compliant with international regulations like eIDAS. These solutions are highly relevant to Procilon's preferred customers, which include public authorities and operators of critical infrastructures.
The acquisition is also expected to present new cross-selling opportunities, as both companies complement each other's product offerings. In a significant development, Main Capital Partners has become the new financial investor for Procilon Group, signalling a promising future for the combined entity.
This acquisition marks an important step in Procilon's growth strategy, broadening its product portfolio and strengthening its foothold in the DACH region. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, Procilon Group is positioning itself as a leading provider of secure digital solutions.
