In a series of events, the South East Hesse Police Headquarters is currently investigating two separate incidents that occurred in the region.
On Wednesday morning, a suspect was apprehended for allegedly attempting to steal jackets, pants, and T-shirts worth approximately 200 euros from a clothing store on Frankfurter Street. The store's anti-theft device was triggered, leading to the suspect's capture by a store detective. The police also participated in the investigation and arrest.
In a separate event, an unknown woman attempted to steal a necklace in Offenbach on Wednesday afternoon around 2:20 pm. However, she failed to make off with the necklace and drove off in a black VW station wagon with the partial license plate "MZ". Witnesses with information about the unknown woman are asked to contact the criminal police at 069 8098-1234.
In a joint traffic control operation between the South East Hesse Police Headquarters and the Hessian Police Headquarters Deployment, a total of 96 speeding offenses were detected during the operation. Over 2,400 vehicles were monitored for speed compliance on the federal road 448 in the direction of Offenbach on Wednesday morning. As a result, three drivers who were measured at over 130 kilometers per hour face a fine of 480 euros, two points in Flensburg, and a one-month driving ban.
