Authorities are confiscating bicycles and attempting to identify their rightful owners

The South Hessian Police Headquarters, based in Darmstadt, Germany, has launched an investigation into the seizure of three bicycles that occurred on October 8, 2024. The bicycles, which include two ladies' bicycles of the brands Hercules and California, and a mountain bike of the brand Corratec, were seized from a 26-year-old suspect in Heierngasse.

The ongoing investigation is being led by the Darmstadt CID, and initial investigations suggest that the bicycles may have been stolen. The South Hessian Police Headquarters is now seeking public help to identify the rightful owners or find information about the origin of the bicycles.

The public can contact the South Hessian Police Headquarters with any information regarding the seized bicycles by calling 06151/969-0 or emailing [email protected]. Photographs of the bicycles are available for public viewing.

The bicycles Hercules, California, and Corratec are owned by different companies. The authority that seized these bikes on October 8, 2024, in Heierngasse is the law enforcement agency 43 (Tätortsbehörde 43).
