Speeding Motorcyclist and Drug Arrests at Wonderland Music Festival

The "Wonderland" music festival in Minden-Lübbecke saw a significant increase in police activity this year, with over 1,000 speeding offenses recorded around the festival grounds. Among the most notable incidents was a motorcyclist who was clocked driving at an alarming 132 km/h in a 70 km/h zone.

The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been disclosed, faces a €600 fine, two months without a driver's license, and two points in Flensburg for the speeding offense.

The festival also saw a number of drug-related incidents. On Friday evening, a 25-year-old woman from the Münsterland region was stopped for suspected drug consumption on the access road to the festival. Despite attempting to manipulate a drug test using toilet water, the test came back positive. A follow-up test with her actual urine also yielded a positive result, and a blood sample was taken.

On Sunday at 3:45 PM, a 41-year-old homeless man was stopped at the festival. A drug test conducted on him was also positive. The man, who claimed to live "everywhere in the world," resisted after the positive test and had to deposit a security payment to ensure the procedure. He was arrested by the police, and the legal process against him was continued accordingly.

In total, 59 people were asked to provide a blood sample during the festival, and 940 drivers were issued a warning fine, with 352 receiving a citation for speeding offenses.

Despite these incidents, the "Wonderland" music festival continued to draw large crowds, offering a lively and entertaining experience for music lovers. Organisers have not yet released a statement regarding the increase in police activity or the number of drug-related incidents.
