According to the reports, a 67-year-old woman from Bottrop and her 65-year-old husband were the victims of the robbery. The perpetrators, described as being in their early 20s with a slim build, approached the couple and asked for directions to Bottrop's Marienhospital.

However, their intentions were far from honest. The perpetrators demanded money and jewelry from the victims. In a harrowing turn of events, one of the perpetrators forcibly took a gold chain from the Bottroper's neck.

The perpetrators fled the scene in an older, gray VW Golf, heading towards Beckstraße.
