Authorities in Poland apprehended alleged narcotics dealers
In a significant development, police in Kerpen have arrested three suspects in connection with a drug trafficking operation. The suspects, aged 24, 28, and 21, are now facing charges of drug trafficking and weapons possession.
The operation, which took place on December 2nd, 2024, saw plainclothes officers arrest a 28-year-old wanted suspect and his accomplice (24) in Kerpen. According to reports from the Polizei Rhein-Erft-Kreis, transmitted via news aktuell, the suspects were observed getting into a Cupra and driving off in the Kirchenstraße.
The officers stopped the suspects' vehicle on the Landesstraße (L) 276 and, during the search, secured a package of drugs from the car. The 24-year-old's apartment in the Kirchenstraße was subsequently searched, where several kilograms of cocaine, marijuana, and various synthetic drugs such as ecstasy and amphetamine were found. Two baseball bats and a brass knuckle were also secured from the apartment.
Investigators had previously noticed the 28-year-old suspect in October as a member of a gang suspected of dealing in incapacitating substances. The investigation led to the search of a suspected accomplice's (21) apartment in the municipality of Vettweiß, where another mobile phone was secured. However, the officers did not find any incapacitating substances in the 21-year-old's apartment during the search.
The specific type of incapacitating substances the gang is suspected of dealing includes cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, and amphetamine, although the article does not specify the type of substances found in the 24-year-old's apartment.
With the help of a service dog, the officers found two mobile phones that the men had thrown away shortly before their arrest. The arrest supplements the press release with number 1 from October 9, 2024, and the search of the 24-year-old's apartment supplements the press release with number 1 from the same date.
