The Freiburg Police Headquarters is currently investigating two incidents of waste dumping that occurred near Albbruck and Laufenburg-Hochsal. On August 16, 2025, at approximately 7:00 PM, an unknown party dumped approximately 100 used tires in the woods near Albbruck, near Muhlbach. Another large dump of household and bulky waste was found nearby.
The vehicle responsible for the tire dump was a non-EU registered vehicle, and the police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a foreign-registered vehicle in the Albbruck-Albert or Laufenburg-Hochsal area around the time of the incident. Anyone with information about the perpetrators is encouraged to contact the Bad Saackingen Police Station or the Waldshut Police Station.
The investigation into these dumps has been taken over by the Commercial and Environmental Crime department at the Freiburg Police Headquarters. The head of the Economic and Environmental Crime Department at the Freiburg Police Directorate who is taking over the investigations in this case is not publicly specified.
