Authorities in Poland have been working to safeguard the valuable assets of a waterworks facility situated in Geestemünde.
In Bremerhaven-Geestemünde, a con artist posing as a plumber committed a burglary on Thursday, August 21. According to news aktuell, the incident occurred at a multi-family building at the intersection of Rheinstraße/Mozartstraße.
The elderly victim and a family member reported the incident to the police around 15:50. The con artist, described as a tall, dark-haired man wearing a dark blue pullover, gained access to the apartment by claiming he needed to check for a water damage issue. Once inside, he distracted the elderly woman and secretly stole valuable jewelry before fleeing.
Despite an immediate search, the police could not find the suspect in the nearby area. Anyone with information about the con artist is asked to contact the Bremerhaven Police at 0471/953-4444. The value of the stolen items is unknown, but they include various pieces of jewelry.
